VCSF celebrated its 25th Anniversary on Saturday March 2nd at Northern Barrell. The fundraising party featuring 90s-themed music and attire, light fare and cocktails, raffles, prizes, and more. We all partied like it was1999! We had so much fun, and we hope you did too!

VCSF’s Launches the BIG Idea Student Competition
VCSF launched the BIG Idea Student Competition which will award grants of up to $1,500 each to student-driven (K-12) projects that meet our mission of enhancing the educational, athletic, cultural, and organizational opportunities of students and communities within the boundaries of the Voorheesville Central School District. Students will be encouraged to work with peers, teachers, coaches, and/or representatives of community organizations or area entities (town, village, library) to identify areas of opportunity and submit applications on a rolling basis through May of 2024.

Voorheesville Fire Department Donates Fall Fest Proceeds to VCSF
On December 5, the Voorheesville Volunteer Fire Department generously presented VCSF with proceeds from Fall Fest. Over $2400 was raised with the support of all who attended and volunteered at the event. Thank you, VFD, for being a wonderful community partner!
VCSF Board Welcomes Joe Bailey
Please join VCSF in welcoming our new board member, Joseph Bailey. Joe is the Vice President, Commercial Banking for TD Bank and is active in the North Country Chamber of Commerce and Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce, where he graduated from their Leadership ADK Program. He also contributes to the Adirondack Economic Development Corporation's New Entrepreneur Program.
Bike Rack & Repair Station Eagle Scout Project
Congratulations to Eagle Scout Candidate Trevor Prancl from Boy Scout Troop 1073 for his project to add a bike rack and repair station to Nichol's Park in the Village of Voorheesville. It looks great and will be an asset to our community for years to come.
Veteran's Display Case Eagle Scout Project
Congratulations to Eagle Scout Candidate Jack Strauss from Boy Scout Troop 1073 for completing a project that created a designated display case with information about local veterans. The beautifully crafted case will be mounted at the Voorheesville Public Library soon.
Fall Fest 2023
The Voorheesville Fire Department’s 2023 Fall Fest is Saturday October 14th from 5 to 9PM behind the firehouse. It will be fun for the whole family - a bounce house, s’mores, and other activities for kids - and firepits, corn hole, beer and seltzer, and great raffles for adults! And everyone will enjoy music from the Electric City Horns and delicious food from Rollin’ Smoke Handcrafted BBQ!
VCSF Works Out!
The Foundation received a thank you & pictures from the Voorheesville High School showing student track athletes using the new weight room equipment VCSF funded as part of our 5K in May grant program in 2022. VCSF is happy to support the athletic needs of the Voorheesville Central School District.
VCSF Summer Kickoff Raises Over $9,000!
The Voorheesville Community & School Foundation (VCSF) hosted the hottest event in town on Friday, June 16th, from 7 – 10pm at Indian Ladder Farms Cidery & Brewery. VCSF’s Summer Kickoff fundraiser featured live music with Capital Region favorite Hot Cousin, wood-fired pizzas and other light fare, raffles and games, and a variety of adult beverage options.

VCSF Sets the Stage at VES
The Foundation granted funds to the Voorheesville Elementary School to install a performance area at the school playground. VCSF is proud to have been a major donor for the construction of the playground in 2018.
Solar Lights on Village Signs
The Village is shining a little brighter thanks to Gabriella Curley who submitted a grant request for VCSF’s Big Idea competition. Her idea was to use solar lights to light the signs around the village so they could be seen at night.
Support VCSF at Fall Fest
Join us October 1st from 7 – 11pm! The Voorheesville Fire Department knows how to throw a party and the whole community is invited. Fall Fest will feature live music from the Electric City Horns, a bounce house, raffles, food, drinks, firepits, s’mores, and more. The fire department has again selected VCSF to receive the proceeds from the event and we are extremely excited! Last year’s event raised over $3,000 for the Foundation. Thank you, VFD! We look forward to seeing community friends and families enjoying this fun event.
Rail Trail Pavilion Donor Sign Installed
Community members, businesses, and organizations who donated toward the construction of the pavilion at the head of the Voorheesville end of the Rail Trail posed for a group photo on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. The plaque lists all donors who donated $250 or more (in kind or monetary donation) for the pavilion project. The photo will be hung in the Village Hall.
VCSF 5k in May plus another 5k
