Welcome Melanie Krause

The Voorheesville Community & School Foundation is proud to welcome Melanie Krause as the newest member of our Board.

As an alumnus of the Voorheesville Central School District and a lifelong resident of Voorheesville with family roots spanning generations, Melanie brings a deep and personal connection to the community. She finds meaningful purpose in VCSF’s mission to support innovative programs and enriching opportunities for Voorheesville students.

Melanie graduated from the College of Saint Rose in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in communications sciences and disorders and currently works as a Community Development Specialist. In her career, she serves as a consultant where she partners closely with municipalities—including Voorheesville- as well as non-profit organizations on grants, funding opportunities, and community-building initiatives.

In 2021, Melanie had the rare and special opportunity to purchase her childhood home, where she now lives with her husband, their two children, Madelyn (9.5) and Collin (7), and three beloved pets: two dogs, and a cat. She is most passionate about family time whether it is spent cheering her daughter on at gymnastic competitions, helping coach her son’s soccer teams, or just enjoying a sunny day at camp and on the water with her husband, kids, and dogs, she lives to make such cherished memories together.

Melanie’s appreciation for Voorheesville’s history, combined with the experience of raising her own family in the same village and school district in which she grew up, gives her a unique and valuable perspective on community and student needs. Her background in community development and her lifelong commitment to Voorheesville make her a wonderful addition to the VCSF Board.

Please join us in welcoming Melanie!
